- At one time in every city, there were photo studios that recorded important days in the lives of families. For this event a portrait studio harkening back to the past will re-open to take commemorative photos of the Kogane-cho residents and visitors providing photo records that can't be seen in our everyday lives. Led by a photographer Takashi Arai, Several photographers will participate in this project.

- Born in Kawasaki City in 1978. With a focus on photos that record surfaces of things and people's looks, Takashi Arai has recently been researching old photography techniques such as daguerreotype, and has employed them to make a new portrait series.
