Naoko Akiyama lived in Holland from the age of 13 to 18. After graduating from the Department of Journalism, Faculty of Literature, Sophia University, she worked as an editor and designer. Since 2009, she has been studying under the photographer Mr. Keizo Motoda. Her works in photography, installation and slide projection portray traces of people in the city. She has stayed in the share studio "Hammer-Head Studio" from 2012 to 2014.Since 2012, she has been participating in Koganecho's Artist-in-Residence Program. Mainly on Saturdays and Sundays during the Koganecho Bazaar 2014, she will be organizing "Koganecho☆Night Theatre" in the evenings after closing time. In which she will showcase movies, theater plays, music lives, etc. selected from either of these three categories: works staged in Koganecho, work made by artists in Koganecho, or works that should be seen in Koganecho.
