本企画ではアジアの複数の地域から集まったアーティストが、それぞれの日常的な背景（生活空間）を紹介する設定を行ない、レジデンス中に制作した作品をその背景に結びつけて発表するというものです。

　
そこで、「リビングルーム」をキーワードに、キュラトリアルの方法を考察しようと考えています。
　
「リビングルーム」はプライベートなスペースであるとともに、外部からゲストを迎え入れる場所として外に開かれたスペースであるともいえます。この日常的な空間を構成する要素を改めて検証することで、現代生活に何気なく取り入れられている伝統や土地固有の価値観が見えてくるのではないでしょうか。
　
そこで今回は、日常性とアート性を同時に意識させようとするアーティスト4組を招聘しました。

ペーパームーン・パペット・シアター（インドネシア・ジョグジャカルタ）
リアとイワンの二人組。様々なジャンルのパフォーマーたちとのコラボレーションを通して、人形劇がもつ表現の可能性を追求しています。小さな日常の出来事から歴史的な出来事といった幅広い題材を、独自の世界観で表現します。

　
チェンタ・ユー（台湾・台北）
社会で生活する中で、個人が無意識のうちに行っている「演じる」という行為に、ユーモア溢れる手法で迫ります。ゲームのような感覚で、作品の登場人物にルールを課し、どこかぎこちないけれど、思わず笑みがこぼれるような個人と社会の関係を映像で捉えます。

まるで夢の中のような、日常と非日常の光景が混ぜ合わさった絵画作品を制作しています。些細な出来事が人生の大きな「事故」に変貌する架空の瞬間を力強いタッチで描きだします。

井出賢嗣（日本・東京）Kenji Ide（Tokyo, Japan）
ベニヤ板や垂木を主な素材に、大胆かつ緻密に構成された浮遊感のある立体物を制作しています。とりとめのない日常の記録からつくり出される抽象的な造形が、いくつも重なり合いながら、ブラックホールのような引力で鑑賞者を未知の世界へと誘います。

Living Room - Where private meets public

The "Living Room: Where private meets public" project brings artists hailing from various parts of Asia together in Koganecho. Through their one month residency, each artist will explore ways of introducing their "living room", a place where life at home intersects with life outside, all the while attempting to weave such moments into new art works to be created during their stay.

Papermoon Puppet Theatre (Yogyakarta, Indonesia)

By collaborating with performers and artists from a multitude of genres, Papermoon Puppet Theatre explores the reaches of creative expression in the art of puppetry. They present themes ranging from the affairs of normal, everyday life to contexts in larger historical settings, conveying their message with a unique and novel take on the world.

ChengTa Yu (Taipei, Taiwan)

Viewed as subconsciously executed individual "performances", Yu approaches the everyday acts we engage in during daily life through the means of humor-filled expression. The characters that appear in his video works attempt to follow assigned rules, much in the way of a game, which results in an awkward and clumsy feel that coaxes laughter from the viewer as Yu captures an amusing portrayal of the relationship between the individual and society.

Mun Jihyeon (Busan, Korea)

Mun creates compelling paintings in which the ordinary and the extraordinary are intertwined, resonating with a dream-like ambiance. In this way, Mun strikingly illustrates fictional moments in time when trivial and seemingly unimportant occurrences are transformed into life's biggest "accidents."

Kenji Ide (Tokyo, Japan)

Using materials such as plywood and rafters, Ide creates bold yet elaborately constructed three-dimensional objects that have a feel of being suspended in space. His abstractly crafted art works, drawing from the random and disjointed accounts of his everyday life, entice viewers into an unfamiliar realm with the powerful magnetism of a black hole.
