これまで世界各地で活動し作品発表をしてきた吉田真悟は、社会の動きを観察し、情報を収集しながら、社会に寄生することをコンセプトに制作している。滞在期間中に黄金町で様々なリサーチをした結果、AスタジオHIONODEの3階で集音した音の周波数を具現化した。電車や車、人々の声など「音」という目に見えないまちの要素を形や色を使って表現した。
Shingo Yoshida, who has been active in presenting works throughout the world, observes the direction of society, gathers information, and produces works based on the concept of social parasitism. Yoshida conducted various types of research in Koganecho during his stay, and physically embodied the frequencies of the sounds he collected on the third floor of A Studio HINODE. The "sound" of the town, such as the noise of train cars or people's voices, normally invisible to the eye, were expressed using shapes and colors.
1974年東京生まれ。ベルリンを拠点に活動中。'04年ニース国立高等美術学校卒業。'05年リヨン国立美術学校修士課程修了。'07年パリ国立高等美術学校修士課程修了。世界各国を移動し、その場の特性や社会状況を注意深く観察、自身の記憶や思い出と交差させながら、社会環境へ介入、そしてそこに寄生するような活動や作品を制作している。
Profile
Born in Tokyo in 1974, and presently based in Berlin, Yoshida graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure d'Art, Nice, and earned masters degrees from the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Lyon in 2005 and the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2007. Moving from country to country around the world, Yoshida carefully observes each location's unique qualities and social conditions, and interweaving them with his own memories and recollections, interpolates himself into the social landscape and engages in parasitical activities and artworks.
